Yard work & musky dimes

I'm so excited!  Sugar Daddy helped me finish mulching around my muscadine & scuppernong vines!  It went SO much faster with him pushing the wheel barrow while I was laying down the paper & bricks.

Doesn't it look great?!?!  (Imagine this times 3)  We had the pea gravel left over from the shed foundation and the bricks were from tearing down the front of the house so "Free Project"! YAY!
Next: wire for the vines to run on.

See that bushy clump behind the good lookin' fella?

We spent more than a few days chopping down bushes & discovered it was a trash pit in the past...

lots of glass and broken bottles...

Filled up the ditch with limbs and fallen trees...

Got a load to take to the scrap metal place...

and now it looks like this!

Indian Pony

My Granny embroidered this shirt for me when I was about 8 or 9.
Same Granny let me use her sewing machine anytime she wasn't, taught me to quilt & how to make lots of other things.

Corral those tall boots

Tired of all those tall boots kicking around on the floor of your closet? Getting squished in the sliding doors? Or just flopping over & getting creased in the wrong places?

Here's the solution! Just remember wash the ...(ahem) 'mud' off if those are working boots you're hanging ;)

Blue heron on the lake

Thought this was a pretty cool pic for my phone's lameaux camera.  Truly, could I have gotten a better picture of that one stick?

The hazards of car stitching

Or perhaps the hazards of calloused fingertips...

Whatever the cause: I'm still sewing the wrong bits together...
